Terms of use
Last updated:
These terms apply when you use ShalChat, run by First July Team. By using the app you agree to them.
1. What ShalChat is
ShalChat suggests home recipes from the ingredients you have, in Burmese and English. Some recipes come from our collection; others are created by AI and are marked as AI recipes.
2. Food safety, allergies and dietary needs
- Recipes are general information, not medical, nutritional or religious advice.
- Dietary and allergy filters work from our ingredient data. They cannot check brands, labels, cross-contact or how food was produced or certified. Always read labels and check ingredients yourself, especially for allergies, Halal, Kosher, vegetarian or vegan needs.
- AI recipes can contain mistakes in ingredients, amounts, times or steps. Use your judgement, cook meat, poultry, seafood and eggs thoroughly, and do not follow a step that seems unsafe.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
4. Fair use
- Use ShalChat for personal, non-commercial cooking.
- Do not overload, scrape, attack or try to get around the limits of the service, including the daily AI limits.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful or harmful.
5. Content
- Recipes and app content are provided for your personal use. Do not republish our recipe collection in bulk.
- Images are labelled when they are representative or AI illustrations rather than photos of the exact dish.
6. Availability
ShalChat is provided as it is and as available. Features, AI limits and recipes may change, and the service or AI suggestions may be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using the app or its recipes.
7. Privacy
How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected].
